Academic Requirements

To be selected as a 2010 Co-op Scholar applicants will need to achieve an ATAR of 95.7 (or equivalent)*, unless entry into the particular program at UNSW requires a higher mark.

  • Engineering, Science and Built Environment Programs, an ATAR 95.7 (or equivalent) satisfies the academic requirement for selection as a Co-op Scholar (but those expecting an ATAR of at least 93 should still consider applying). You will need to ensure that you gain entry into the specialised program (eg Mechanical Engineering) you wish to study. You will not be able to accept your scholarship through the common first year program.
  • Business, an ATAR of 95.7 (or equivalent). However, if entry to the Bachelor of Commerce program at UNSW in a given year is greater than this, students must meet this requirement.

However, anyone expecting an ATAR above 90 should consider applying.

* Up to an additional 10 points (combined) from HSC Plus / ACCESS Scheme is considered as part of your eligibility for the Co-op Program. (See FAQs for more information.)
